Horror soundtrack

       I tried creating an original horror soundtrack. Before doing this, I watched videos and did some research on the right chords to use that created the horror sound.

       I thought it was really hard doing everything on my computer, seeing as some notes weren’t in time with others and it was hard to edit them so that the instruments were synchronised. I decided to use a Grand Piano playing the main melody, another Grand Piano to add more effect to the first note of the bar and some strings since they are often used in horror movies because they create the sense of mystery. I gradually took some instruments out starting with the strings to leave the first Grand Piano finish everything off. I also slowed it down to express sadness and to suggest that something bad had just happened. 

      In conclusion, I think I need to get more comfortable with the application (GarageBand) and also do some more research on how to create a horror soundtrack to find new rhythms, melodies and chords to use.
